Two of the Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies teams were in action at the weekend and here is a round-up of how they did in their respected fixtures.

First Team

Tranmere Rovers Women 3-1 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies

The first-team fell to defeat after their recent spurt of good form, with their last game before this being a 7-1 win over Wigan Athletic. The side travelled to Merseyside on Sunday and put on a good display and, even though Georgia Payton found the back of the net, the Ladies were defeated on the day.

League position: 7th

Players of the Match: Georgia Payton & Ellie Parkinson.

Development Squad

The Development Squad were set to play at the weekend, but the game was postponed and will have to be rearranged in the near future.

Reserves

Penrith AFC Ladies Development 2-12 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves

The Reserves climbed up to 2nd in the league after their mammoth win over Penrith at the weekend, beating them by 10 goals after a clinical performance. Lydia Wright (1), Ellie Duffy (1), Islay Aitken (2), and Jordan O’Neill (1) all got on the score sheet, but it was Carmel Daniel who was the star of the show as she netted seven goals on the day!

League position: 2nd
