Midfielder Harrison Biggins spoke to the club after he played the full 90 minutes in Fleetwood Town’s narrow 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Tuesday night.
Biggins’ local connections with the Yorkshire club are prominent as the midfielder had a season ticket in the Kop End until he signed his first professional contract.
The midfielder started his career only down the road from The Owls at Stocksbridge Park Steels until he signed for Fleetwood, where tonight he had family and friends all over the stadium watching his impressive performance in front of a packed crowd.

On his Wednesday connections...
“I had a season ticket here for many years growing up until I couldn’t make Saturdays anymore so to play here was special and it was a special night, but in the end, it would have been nice to have come away with a win.
“It was a special feeling to walk out on that pitch and it was also a crazy feeling because I don’t think I have ever heard a noise quite like that from playing in front of fans, in the end, though we didn’t do enough to take home any points.”
On the match itself...
“As a team, we did play well, but in the first 15 minutes they saw a lot of the ball – we did grow into the game though and got chances for ourselves – the second half and the chances we had we were by far the better side, once the game settled down the chances do start to come, but we need to put them away.
“In the second period we did start to get on the ball a lot more and we started to trust each other, the center-forwards started to support us and alongside that, we made a few substitutions where the fresh legs helped us and in the second half it looked like we were the only team likely to score.”
On how the team regroups...
“We’re only going to learn from games like these, we have a great group where it’s a mix of a lot of experience and a lot of youth, we have a great game coming up on Saturday and a chance to put things right and to get a few points- we’re not far off getting off that mark, we have to stay positive, and the results will come.
“When we go to Highbury on Saturday, we know the fans are going to be behind us and are going to stick with us and we’re all going to stick together, we like to think the fans can see our positives that we have got from the last few games, results aside we are all an honest group and hard-working, just that alone we know we can change our fortune.”
