Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies kicked-off their pre-season preparations on Sunday, as they beat Chorley Women 2-0 at Springfield Road.
Dave Butler’s side – who finished off last season with a great run of scoring 15 goals in six games – played brilliantly from start to finish in their first fixture back since the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
Debutant Sophie Slater got onto the scoresheet, as well as Beth Gregory, and Lizzie Hermolle was the stand out player of the match.
