A number of Fleetwood Town first team players went into two primary schools on Tuesday afternoon to pay a surprise the students of Hambleton Academy and Poulton St. John's.

Paddy Madden, Harry Souttar and Jimmy Dunne headed to Poulton St. John’s Primary School on Monday afternoon to interact with students in different classes at the school, and presented them with tickets for Saturday's Sky Bet League One game against Tranmere Rovers at Highbury.

On-loan defender and Australian international, Harry Souttar said: “It’s important we get out into the local community and try and make a difference.

“As players we know the work the Community Trust does on a daily basis and if we can do our bit as players in the community, we will hopefully see a return from them at Highbury every Saturday.”

Conor McAleny and Jordan Rossiter were also in the community as they made a short visit to Hambleton Academy, and having surprised the children by walking into each classroom unexpectedly, they were then given some great questions from the children, with the staff getting involved as well.

All in all, it was a great day in the Community for the club, the trust and all the players involved!
