Fleetwood Town players made their way to Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Tuesday afternoon to give gifts to the Blue Skies Foundation’s ‘Give a Gift’ project.
Players Matt Gilks, Conor McAleny, Billy Crellin, Jack Sowerby and Harvey Saunders arrived at the hospital and were greeted by the staff at Blue Skies and chatted about the importance of the work they are doing and why the players were gifting bags to patients.
Every single day hundreds of people are treated by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Blue Skies supports the best in patient care for hospitals in Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.
Kila Redfearn, Head of Blue Skies, said: “We’re delighted to have linked up with Fleetwood Town FC for our Give a Gift Appeal. It was a pleasure to meet such a lovely group of young chaps, and the gifts they have donated are perfect for patients in hospital this Christmas.”
