The Former Players Association met at Poolfoot Farm on Thursday morning for their October get together.
Numbers continue to grow with new faces coming for the first time and enjoying meeting former players they haven’t seen for 25 years. With the new Former Players Association flag up in the canopy at the club’s training ground, it was a meeting that looked back at the growth of the membership, and also the past times at Fleetwood.
In attendance was former striker Gareth Seddon – who played for Fleetwood from 2009 - 2012, and helped the club win promotion from the Conference National in 2010-11 season, into the fourth tier of English Football.
Amongst Gareth was a number of other troops from the Cod Army, all enjoying overseeing the first team train ahead of their match against Doncaster on Saturday.
The next planned gathering will take place at Poolfoot Farm on Thursday 1st November at 10am. Further details may be obtained from the Association's Chairman, Stuart Murdoch, by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07921 934775.
