Fleetwood Town's official eSports team started off life in League One with a win on the opening day of the season, as the club look to make it back to back promotions.

The Cod Army came up against ESC Shottas in their opening game of the season – a side who they will know well from the last campaign – and came out 4-0 winners on Monday evening. Debut goals from new striker Shea 'PureKluivert' Macky, midfielder Kieran 'OMG-Its-PIMMY' Pimblett and a brace from Shaun4YTFC got the eSports off to a flying start.

Tuesday saw Dan 'Hubaga' Masters' men come up against new opponents The Longest Ninety FC and after a well fought battle between the two sides, The Longest Ninety came out 3-2 winners on the night. It could have gone either way with both teams creating plenty of chances, but it wasn't to be and now we move on and look forward to the third match of the season.

The side will be back in action on Monday 2nd July as they will be facing Tamworth eSports in VPG Cup at 8:15pm, before playing Ryecroft in VPG League One North at 9pm.
