Global superstar Alfie Boe performed a special one-off concert in front of 10,000 fans at Highbury on Saturday.

The evening kicked off with a brilliant performance from sensational Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud – who were finalists in the 2012 series of Britain's Got Talent – before the famous Tenor from Fleetwood took the stage.

The stadium was set alight when Alfie took the stage as his singing, and stage presence, had everyone in the ground singing and dancing along throughout.

"It's incredible, I didn't expect it to be as good as this. I took a walk out front this afternoon and it was amazing," said Alfie.

"You guys have done a wonderful job with the pitch, and the stage, its blown me away to be honest.

"I can't tell you how proud I am! It's a very emotional day and was an emotional concert.

"I just want to entertain first and foremost but, I also want to have the opportunity to just say thank you to everybody here at home in Fleetwood for all the support.

"I want to say thank you to Fleetwood Town Football Club because you guys back me like crazy. I'm always there for you and I'm always here for the Town.

"I want to fly the flag for Fleetwood as much as I can because I'm a Fleetwood lad."

To make the night even more special, £2 from every ticket sold will go to Trinity Hospice and Brian House, as well as all the money raised by the volunteers who went round the ground with buckets.

Huge thank you to Cuffe and Taylor, as well as Rhodes Media, for their tremendous support throughout the event.
