Fleetwood Town can officially confirm the squad numbers of Joey Barton’s first team squad for the upcoming Sky Bet League One season.
New club captain Craig Morgan will wear the number 20 shirt, whilst Tommy Spurr will take over the number six shirt vacated by Nathan Pond in the summer.
Fellow new signings Eddie Clarke, Jason Holt and Ched Evans will wear three, four and nine respectively. Leeds United loanee Lewie Coyle will continue to wear the number two shirt, as he did last season whilst on loan at Highbury. Chris Long and James Wallace will wear 14 and 38. Wes Burns has changed numbers and will now wear seven.
As previously announced, Alex Cairns will wear the number one shirt, with fellow goalkeepers Matt Urwin and Billy Crellin wearing 21 and 31.
