It’s day one in Budapest, with Fleetwood Town’s first team now safely checked into their base just west of the Hungarian capital.
The team flew from Manchester Airport at around 9am on Sunday morning, landing just after midday local time in Hungary.
After a short delay waiting for passport control and luggage, the team boarded their coach and headed for the Globall Hotel – which is also the base for the Hungarian national team.
Upon arrival the lads tucked into some lunch, before getting acclimatised to their new surroundings for the week. A light recovery session followed in the evening, with the Sports Science team working with the players firstly on the grass, before a pool and ice bath session in the hotel’s spa.
On the agenda for tomorrow is a double session, with preparation for Tuesday’s game with STK Fluminense Samorin fresh in the minds of the players and staff.
