Paddy Madden has given his thoughts to the media following Town's 2-1 defeat at home to Shrewsbury Town.

On the game…

“Obviously disappointed – we can’t seem to get a break at the minute.

“I thought we did well in spells of the game and we could have nicked something towards the end.

“A sloppy pass by myself allowed them to break and score so I’m disappointed with myself.”

On his goal…

“I think it’s come from a corner, someone has managed to flick it on and I’ve managed to score, but it means nothing now.”

On taking positives despite the result…

“On our day, with the players we have, we can match anybody.

“We have played three top teams in our last three games and we could have got something out of each game.

“But individual mistakes are costing us at the minute.”

On Saturday’s trip to Doncaster…

“Every game now is massive.

“We have to keep trying to rack some points up.

“In the dressing room we have good characters that will rally the troops together.

“We need to dust ourselves down and go again at Doncaster.”

On learning from tonight’s defeat…

“I think we need to cut out individual mistakes.

“When you make the wrong decision during a bad run, it seems like every team punishes you.

“We can’t feel sorry for ourselves, we need to roll our socks up and keep going.”
