Town forward Dan Mooney started for the Wales under 19s squad on Monday as they lost their first of two international friendlies against Iceland.
Mooney - who was recieved his first professional contract at Fleetwood Town – started the friendly alongside Arsenal youngster Robbie Burton and Manchester United’s young midfielder Dylan Levitt.
Wales went behind early on after Iceland’s Astbjorn Pórdarson headed a free-kick past goalkeeper George Ratcliffe. The under 19s tried to even up the score but Pórdarson's goal was the only one on the night.
Wales face Iceland again on Wednesday as the sides will meet again at Corbett Sports Stadium in Rhyl.
