Alex Reid scored four goals as Fleetwood Town's Development Squad comfortably beat Southport 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The striker - who has just returned from a successful loan spell at Wrexham - impressed alongside Ashley Nadesan who scored twice, with Gerard Garner and Victor Nirennold also grabbing a goal each. Billy Crellin played in goal, keeping a clean sheet.
Development Squad head coach, Paul Murray, said on the win: "It was great for us to get another win, with another impressive scoreline.
"Alex impressed on his return from Wrexham, and came back into a slightly different role and scored four goals. Him and Nadesan looked lively, and showed a great attitute towards the game.
"The whole team showed a great attitute, and played some good football throughout the game. In general, I'm pleased with the performance at both ends."
