Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm that young goalkeeper Billy Crellin has been recognised for his performances on and off the field by the League Football Education (LFE).

Crellin – who has featured heavily both in Town’s Under 18’s and Development Squad sides this year – has been named in ‘The 11’ for the month of June.

Fleetwood born Crellin joined the club's Juniors at the age of eight and has since worked his way through our youth system and earned the offer of a professional contract in December.

‘The 11’ acknowledges the football and academic progress of Under 18 players on apprenticeships at current or former English Football League (EFL) clubs - and is also designed to assess other factors including involvement in community or charity based initiatives.

Academy Manager, Ciaran Donnelly said: “This is a nice way for Billy to finish off the season after his excellent work both on and off the pitch.

“We are excited to see what he does next season and hope he continues the great progress he has made over the last 12 months.”
