20 year-old defender joins on two and a half year deal
Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Joe Maguire from Liverpool.
The highly rated defender joins Town after spending the last 12 years at Anfield, having joined the Premier League side’s academy aged just nine.
Maguire has signed a two and a half deal with the club, keeping him at Highbury until the summer of 2019.
Maguire, who turns 21 next Wednesday, featured once last season for Jurgen Klopp’s first team in the Emirates FA Cup third round tie with Exeter City.
A pacey left back or left sided defender, he was part of Liverpool’s first team squad that travelled to Bangkok, Brisbane, Adelaide and Malaysia for their pre-season tour ahead of the 2015-16 Premier League season.
