Fleetwood Town will be looking to make it three wins in a row on Saturday when they welcome Northampton Town to Highbury in Sky Bet League One (3pm k/o).

LAST TIME OUT

Uwe Rosler’s side made it 16 games unbeaten in Sky Bet League One after securing another brilliant away win – this time at MK Dons. Cian Bolger’s second half header from George Glendon’s corner sealed a 1-0 score line, though Town were comfortable throughout.

Northampton came from behind twice to battle to a 2-2 draw against promotion chasing Southend United at Roots Hall.

Jermaine McGlashan and Simon Cox scored either side of Marc Richards’ effort, before John-Joe O’Toole equalised just before half-time.

PREVIOUS MEETING

The reserve fixture of Saturday’s fixture was the first match of the season, and the first match in charge for Uwe Rosler.

Alex Revell’s effort came back off the post and then in off Town ‘keeper Chris Neal just nine minutes in before Victor Nirennold secured a point for the Cod Army.

Fleetwood lined up that day as follows: Neal; McLaughlin, Pond (c), Eastham, Bell; Nirennold, Ryan, Jonsson, Grant (Duckworth 84’); Hunter (Cole 65’), Ball (Holloway 75’).

OPPOSITION VIEW

Northampton Town manager Justin Edinburgh spoke to the press ahead of this Saturday’s match at Highbury.

“They [Fleetwood] are on a magnificent run. We know we are going to have to go and replicate the performance that we showed on Saturday [against Southend]. The players have proved it and they know they are capable of it.

“What we have got to do is show that consistency. At home, we’ve been good, but we haven’t won away and it’s something we’re trying to do. We obviously respect their form, they’re in a good position and on a good run but in my time here I’ve seen here to see that we can go there and get a result.”
