Head Coach wants response from players

suffering defeat to Swindon Town.afterHead Coach Uwe Rosler wants his side to regroup and bounce back

A late Nicky Ajose saw the Cod Army suffer their first defeat in four, a result which leaves them third in the League One table.

And Rosler admits that even though Town created some good chance in the first half, it was Swindon’s substitutes made a difference in the end.

“Obviously I was disappointed but you are always going to be when you aren’t winning.

“I thought that in the first half, we had some very good chances, three or four chances, with the biggest one being from Ash Hunter.

“Second half, their substitution lifted them, they got a little bit on top of us and a mistake led to their win.

“Overall, I think we need to regroup and go again on Wednesday. There are enough games left for us to reach our target.”

The Head Coach brought back Wes Burns for the last 20 minutes of the game, after being out since February, but he thinks that he has a way to go to get back to fitness.

“We brought on Wes Burns and you only find out where he is when you play him, he has a way to go, everybody saw that but never mind,” said Rosler.

“I think it’s difficult for a player who has been out for 2-3 months and he hasn’t trained or played a lot of football but I think those 20-25 minutes will make him better.”

Rosler wants his side to bounce back straight away and thinks that the busy schedule ahead will create a need for his players to take their chances.

“We now have Wednesday and Saturday, two games very close to each other,” said the Head Coach.

“With travel commitments, there will be players playing on Wednesday or Saturday.

“We need them now, we need them to take their chance and hopefully they do.”
