Highbury hosted End of Season awards night

Fleetwood Town fans and sponsors enjoyed a night of reflection on the season so far last night at Highbury with two events seeing players recognised for their efforts to date.

The Fans Awards evening saw Chairman Andy Pilley address a packed Jim’s Bar, reflecting on this season's exciting journey so far.

Young fan Ben Knapman picked up Fan of the Year award, which was kindly sponsored by Granada Fish Bar. Cian Bolger picked up the Supporters Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year from his team mates. Alex Cairns picked up the Junior Cod Army Player of the Year gong whilst Kyle Dempsey picked up Young Player of the Year. David Ball's point saving goal against Southend in January saw him pick up Goal of the Season.

Head coach Uwe Rosler finished proceedings with a rousing speech ahead of this weekend's game against Port Vale.

"We thank you for your magnificent support this season, it's not over yet and we hope to see the stadium full on Sunday!"

The Sponsors awards dinner saw over 160 Guests attend, with Bolger scooping the Sponsors Player of the Year award, David Ball Community Player of the year and club legend Ted Lowery receive the Clubman of the Year award for his continued efforts supporting the club for over 40 years.

Martin Booker, Head of Commercial was delighted with the night's events.

"Both events gave our fans and sponsors the chance to recognise the efforts of Uwe Rosler and the players from what has been a fantastic season so far. We hope they enjoyed the events and thank them for attending - but as the Chairman, Manager and players were keen to stress, our season still has an exciting last few days to go!”
