Saturday’s match with Peterborough won’t be the first time the two sides have met. Here’s a look at some previous meetings…


The Cod Army and Posh have met on four previous occasions, with Peterborough winning twice, with one win for Fleetwood and one draw.


The first meeting took place in Sky Bet League One in October 2014 at London Road. Connor Washington’s strike moments before half time was enough to win it for the home side, whilst Fleetwood had Stephen Crainey sent off late on.


The return fixture in January last year saw Joe Newell give Posh the lead at Highbury, but Mark Roberts grabbing a late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw for Town.


Last season it was a win apiece for the two sides, with the home team winning on both occasions.

The subsequent return fixture saw Fleetwood pick up their first win against Peterborough as Wes Burns’ goal saw the Cod Army go into the break 1-0 up. Eggert Jonsson’s second half header doubled the lead and a sealed a 2-0 win.
