Town looking to end eight match winless run on Saturday...

AFC Wimbledon gained promotion from Sky Bet League Two last season and as a result, the sides last shared the same pitch during the 2013/14 campaign which saw Town achieve their Sky Bet League One status.

That year, the reds suffered a 2-0 defeat away to the Dons before the sides played out a tight 0-0 draw at Highbury.

There was plenty of drama in the fixture during the 2012/13 season, as a Jack Midson penalty gave Wimbledon a 2-1 victory over Town on the final day of the season.

That win, along with defeat for Barnet, was enough to pull them out of the relegation zone and secure their Football League status by just two points. The earlier fixture that season was a 1-1 draw at home.

In the 2010/11 Conference Premier Play Offs, the Dons again came out on top as they racked up an 8-1 aggregate victory in the semi-final, winning the second leg 6-1 before eventually going on to beat Luton on penalties in the final.

With the league meetings earlier that season finishing 0-0 at Highbury and 1-0 to Wimbledon in the away fixture, Uwe Rosler’s side will be seeking to end an eight-match winless streak against their hosts on Saturday afternoon.
