The Welshman made over 100 appearances for the Cod Army
Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell has this afternoon agreed terms to join Championship side Preston North End and will team up with the Lilywhites on 1st July 2016.The Welshman, who is out of contract this summer, made over a 100 appearances for the Cod Army during a four year spell at Highbury having signed from Wrexham in 2012.
His performances between the sticks during Town’s first season in the third tier earned him the Club’s player of the year award for 2014/15.
He started every game for the Cod Army during the 2015/16 campaign, and was nominated for the North West Football Awards’ League One player of the year.
