The Football Education Programme is a full time education programme that combines 15 hours per week in a classroom and a minimum of six hours of coaching within the professional football club.

Students will leave the two year programme with a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport, the equivalent of up to three A Levels which could then potentially lead students to university, a scholarship abroad or a job within the sporting sector.

As well as studying in the classrooms at the Club’s new £8 million training complex, the students will have access to the training facilities to continue their development.

All of the students will be provided with different work experience opportunities throughout their two years in a sporting field that they are interested. For example in our current cohort we have students that are shadowing our first team physiotherapist staff and learning what this job entails.
