Left back Amari’i Bell says Town have to take confidence from their previous meeting with Swindon earlier in the season when they put five past the Robins.

Antoni Sarcevic, David Henen, Tariqe Fosu and Bobby Grant were on target back in November, while Adam El-Abd put through his own net at Highbury.

Swindon have lost their last two league fixtures against Wigan Athletic and Scunthorpe United, so will be looking to bounce back at the County Ground.

Saturday’s game will be the first of two in four days for the Cod Army, as they welcome Graham Wesley’s Peterborough United side to the Fylde Coast on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game, Bell said: “When I went to Swindon I played quite a few games but towards the end of my loan I was out of the team. I did enjoy my time there though.

“In terms of the way they play it’s still sort of the same as to when I was there, but they’ve lost some of their better players from last season.

“I want to go there and play well because it was somewhere I used to play at, so I just want to show them my ability.

“They’ve conceded a lot of goals over their last two games so will be hurting, but we have to take confidence from the last time we played them as we scored five.

“We know we can score goals against them if we are on our game. It’s going to be a hard one though because they’ll want to bounce back.”

Bell remains confident that Town will retain their status in the third tier this season, but admits they must start to pick up wins.

He added: “We are very confident as a group that we can stay up this season. Every game we go into we think we can win so we need to keep that mentality on Saturday.

“We need to carry on doing the things we do such as playing it our way, and hopefully that will see us through in the end.

“The manager believes in us and we believe in ourselves, and it’s vital to have that belief if you are to play the way we do.”
