Forward made his Town debut this afternoon

Alex Kiwomya stated that is was good to be involved with the Cod Army this afternoon as he came on for his debut as a second half substitute.

The young forward signed a one month loan deal from Chelsea on Thursday, and was brought on with half an hour to play along with Devante Cole.

And it was nearly a dream start for the pair, as Kiwmoya drilled a low cross into the area which just evaded the outstretch boot of Cole.

After the game, he said: “It’s good to be involved and we tried to play football today. The lads were nice and confident and they’re a great bunch so I enjoy playing with them.

“There’s a lot less time on the ball in competitive football, and we could see today so that’s a big difference between Under 21 level.

“There’s always pressure when you play football, and being where we are in the table we know we have to start winning games.

“Me and Devante are very close as we’ve known each other for a number of years. Hopefully we’ll link up well together and play more.

“We’ve played against each other when I was at Chelsea and him at Manchester City, and we get along well so that’s a good partnership.

“The main aim is to start games and get as many minutes under my belt as possible. I’m here to score goals and help the team.”
