15 nursery children visit the home of the Cod Army

Alphabet House nursery visited Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium on Tuesday morning for a fundamental skills session.

The young children, aged between three and four, took part in activities to help improve coordination and balance.

It was the first in a number of visits lined up during the month of January, with three other nurseries set to visit the home of the Cod Army.

Jason Sharp, Sports Development Officer, said: “It was based at three to four year olds to improve their coordination, agility and balance skills.

“They then met Captain Cod and were taken around the ground to see the changing rooms and the dugout area, and they all received a goody bag too.

“It was an event just to promote the Club amongst local nurseries. We’ve got three more booked for January and they are all Fleetwood nurseries.”
