The Cod Army are only 90 minutes away from Wembley

Amari’i Bell believes victory over Barnsley in the JPT Northern Area final second leg will help the Cod Army to reignite their season.

Bell has been a mainstay in the Town back four throughout the campaign, and insists the squad have enough about them to beat the Tykes.

In the first leg, Ash Hunter’s second half goal was cancelled out by substitute Ashley Fletcher meaning Thursday’s tie is all to play for.

Bell said: “Thursday night is a real chance for us to get to Wembley and an opportunity for us to reignite our season.

“It’s an important one as if we do manage to beat Barnsley then it will give us all that extra bit of confidence in the league as well.

“Both teams are going to go out there and give it their all. If we play the way we have been playing and be better in both boxes then we’ll win the game.

“Barnsley will come here with confidence after their recent run, but at the same time we’ll still have our confidence and we’ll never stop believing.

“The lads haven’t been too down about last Saturday’s result because we know we played well. If we eliminate mistakes it’ll be a turning point for us.

“It’s great that Thursday’s game is being broadcasted on television, so it’s up to us now to show just how good of a team we are.”
