Special message from Town's Head Coach
I’d firstly like to wish all Fleetwood Town fans a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
On reflection of the six months I’ve spent at the club I feel there has been a positive response from everyone so far. We had and have two good cup runs behind us, only losing to Leeds on penalties in the League Cup and being in the hat for the FA Cup Third Round which was always our target at the beginning of the season.
When you arrive in a football club you have to quickly find a way of getting results. I’ve received great support from Andy Pilley, Steve Curwood, Gretar Steinsson and all the staff here and that’s the sort of environment I wanted to work in. We started the season reasonably well, and although we’ve had our ups and downs like side, we stand now in a good position going into 2017.
As for the supporters, I’d like to thank you all for the welcome and support you’ve given me and my players since I arrived at the club, it really does help.
First and foremost I’d like to thank the players, they have been a real pleasure to work with so far. I see a lot of potential and qualities going forward into the New Year and I’m excited for 2017 and seeing where this journey can take us in the League table.
