Development side draw with Chorley

Nadesan on target for Nathan Rooney's side at Chorley

Fleetwood Town's development team drew 1-1 with a Chorley side which featured a handful on first-team players on Tuesday evening.

After going behind in the game, Ashley Nadesan equalised for Town by slotting home following Thomas Grant's through ball.

Coach Nathan Rooney said afterwards: "We started well in the first hal and hour.

"We dominated possession but the only problem was the sharpness and lack of edge in front of goal.

"Chorley had a nice 15 minute spell at the start of the second half, and the goal we conceded came from a cross before the ball bobbled in.

"But we had three youth team players in the back four and Matty Urwin in goal was there when we needed him.

"Going forward we have to concentrate on having more edge in front of goal."
