Midfielder netted twice to help the Cod Army win

Bobby Grant wants to continue his recent fine form in a Town jersey after netting twice in the second half against the Brewers.

Grant’s first after the break was a well executed placed finish which doubled the advantage after Jamie Proctor had opened the scoring before the interval.

The former Blackpool man then scored the goal of the game with a rifled finish which flew into the top corner before Ash Hunter bundled home a fourth late on.

Speaking afterwards, Grant said: “We’ve trained all week under the new management and that’s the way he wants us to play. All the lads have bought into that.

“We had a good week of training and to come away with a 4-0 win will please the fans because everyone around the Club deserves it.

“The manager’s got down to work at the training ground and the intensity has been massive. There’s a massive difference.

“The lads are all enjoying themselves and are prepared to work for each other. The last couple of games have shown that.

“He wants matchwinners in this team and he gives me a position where he can get the best out of me. Today I paid him that back.

“This is just the start though and I won’t dwell on this because it’s my job to score goals and create them. I want to be a handful for other teams.

“It was massive to score the first goal when we did because that goal set us up and gave us the belief to go out in the second half.

“We really dominated the game and they huffed and puffed without really causing us any problems.”
