Young Cod Army reached third round last season
Fleetwood Town U18s will face a trip to Hartlepool United in the first round of the FA Youth Cup.Nathan Rooney’s young Cod Army side will head to the North East before Saturday 7th November, with the date and location of the game yet to be confirmed.
It is not the first time Fleetwood Town’s U18s have faced Pools at this stage of the FA Youth Cup. In 2012/13, FTFC faced Pools away from home but it was the hosts that progressed through to the next round.
However last season Fleetwood had a memorable season in the FA Youth Cup, reaching the prestigious third round for the first time in the Club’s history beating Accrington Stanley and Sheffield United on home soil in the first and second rounds.
Fleetwood bravely lost out in the third round away at Premier League side Sunderland.
