First team manager wishes Nathan Rooney's side all the best

Fleetwood Town first team manager Steven Pressley sent his well wishes to the Club’s youth team tonight ahead of their FA Youth Cup first round tie at Hartlepool United.

The young Cod Army reached the third round of the competition last season, beating Accrington Stanley and Sheffield United before losing out against Sunderland at the beginning of 2015.

Speaking to the Club website ahead of the game, Pressley said: “The FA Youth Cup is a huge competition and it is a tournament that we are striving to impress in.

“It is a great challenge but step by step and year by year we are looking to improve.

“Nathan Rooney and Stuart Murdoch are doing a really good job with the younger players and I am sure they will perform well tonight at Hartlepool United.”
