The Cod Army desperately need to pick up three points on Saturday afternoon according to youngster Nick Haughton.

Swindon Town are the visitors to Highbury, and a win for either side would help in their quest to move away from the lower echelons of the league table.

Haughton however believes Town can take heart from their second half performance against Peterborough United last Saturday.

He said: “It’s a big test for us this weekend as we desperately need the win and the three points to go with it to try and move up the table.

“Swindon have still got a lot of good players and are a good side, so it’s up to us to try and stop them playing.

“We need to push on as a team now though as it’s a big week for us with three games coming up. It’d be nice if we can get nine points but if not then we need two wins.”

Haughton has enjoyed a spell of games in the Town side under manager Steven Pressley, and is keen to keep his place in the team.

“We’re a good side when we get going like we showed at Peterborough last week, but we need to start games like we end them.

“That’s football though so hopefully this Saturday we can start well and push on from the off and get the supporters behind us.

“It’s been nice to get a good run of games recently but you need to play well every week so hopefully the gaffer sees that.”
