Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell, the Club’s Community Player of the Year, visited Baines Endowed Primary School in Thornton earlier this week.The Welsh shot stopper, who is also Fleetwood Town’s Education ambassador, called into the school, located near to the Cod Army’s friendly community training ground, Poolfoot Farm, as part of Baines Endowed’s health week.
Chris helped raise awareness of a healthy living lifestyle with the local children alongside answering a number of questions about his career and how he maintains his fitness.
Fleetwood Town are continuing to build relationships with the Thornton community and the Club’s Community Trust will be continuing to deliver sessions and arrange player visits going forward.
