Great opportunity for fans to meet the new players
Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell urges the Cod Army support to turn out in their numbers for Wednesday evening’s fans forum at Highbury.The event will take place in the Parkside Suite at 7.30pm, with Town’s management and players in attendance.
New signings Declan McManus, Eggert Jonsson and Jimmy Ryan will be present, while supporters will also get the chance to meet Maxwell as well as Nathan Pond.
Speaking ahead of the event, Maxwell said: “It’ll be great for the supporters to meet some of the players, especially the new ones which have arrived over the summer.
“It’s a great chance for the fans to get to know them and for the new lads to get to know them too. I’m sure they’ll really welcome them.
“The Fleetwood fans I’m sure will show them what the Club is all about and the family type atmosphere that it has.
“The opportunity to meet the fans face to face doesn’t happen very often and you only really get it through social media and so forth.
“Wednesday is a real good opportunity for them to get to know us, and when it comes to Saturday’s we know the people who are cheering us on.”
