Attacker netted his second goal of the campaign

Antoni Sarcevic was delighted with the way his side played against Crawley Town this afternoon, and admitted it could have been won by a bigger margin on another day.

Sarcevic impressed throughout and netted the game’s only goal two minutes before the interval with a drilled free kick beyond the dive of Lewis Price.

It was the attacker’s second strike of the campaign, and helped move the Cod Army up to sixth place in the table.

After the game, he said: “We’ve just found out that we’ve gone a few places up in the table after the win so it just shows how tight it is and what a good win it could turn out to be.

“We sort of try and do different things at home to please the fans, and today it could have easily been four or five.

“The first two I had before my free kick were just half chances and then I hit the post in the second, but I’m happy with one goal and the win.

“It’s better for us to have the points on the board because it’ll put added pressure on the teams who have games in hand when they play.

“For Fleetwood to be sat where they are in the League One table this season shows how far the lads have come, and we’re happy.

“We’re a tight unit and the lads are going into the games in a confident manner. We’re hoping to surprise a few this season.

“It’s nice to get back on the score sheet, but like I said when I first came back into the team, I’m loving my football again and I’m happy.”
