Event will take place on Sunday 24th May
We are delighted to announce Fleetwood Town community trust’s first football festival sponsored by McDonalds. The festival is to be held on Sunday 24th May at Highbury Stadium. For young enthusiastic players this is a fantastic opportunity for them to play on Highbury’s pitch and experience playing at a professional ground with high quality facilities.
McDonalds, the sponsors of the tournament, have a fantastic reputation for delivering community sports projects, and so we are excited to offer local junior clubs this chance to take part in our football festival.
The main focus of the day will be situated around five-a-side competitive football for different age groups. However, behind the scenes, FTCT and McDonalds have worked hard to ensure that there will be plenty of other activities during the day which will include:
- Playing on an inflatable pitch
- Speed gun challenge
- Team photos on dugout and dressing room
- Special guests
Jason Sharp, sports development officer said: “Throughout the season we have hosted a number of junior clubs as our club of the day on a match day, so this is a fantastic way of giving them the opportunity to play competitive football on the pitch. McDonalds are a huge organisation and to have them supporting the tournament is brilliant”.
