Youngster extends deal by 12 months

Development squad player Nick Haughton has signed an extension to his contract until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

The teenager signed for Town from North West Counties side Runcorn Town in February of this year and has caught the eye for Barry Nicholson’s men since then.

Capped for England at both English schools and college levels, Haughton made 16 appearances for Runcorn before signing for the Cod Army.

Graham Alexander had named the youngster amongst his substitutes for this afternoon’s game away at Peterborough United and will wear the number 27 shirt.
