Striker looked a threat alongside Matty Hughes
Striker Jamie Proctor was left frustrated that Town failed to build on their first half display against the Sky Blues in the West Midlands today.Proctor was a thorn in the Coventry defence during the opening 45, and caused Steven Pressley’s side problems with his power and pace.
Andy Webster’s own goal was cancelled out by a late Simeon Jackson equaliser, after the home side had pressured the Cod Army defence during the second half.
Proctor said: “It’s frustrating for us as players as we played some great stuff first half, and probably some of the best football we’ve played all season.
“Personally I felt great as the team were getting the ball up to me, and we were creating some good chances.
“To go in 1-0 up was fully deserved and I thought we could kick on and go and get three points, but Coventry changed it and came at us, and 1-1 was a fair in the end.
“In the second half it felt as if everything was going against us, but it wasn’t something we could do a lot about.
“For a Club like ours to come to Coventry and be disappointed at not getting all three points speaks volumes, and shows massive progress.
“I felt a little bit rusty and tired after the game and I think that’s down to not playing for a few weeks, but games will get me back to full fitness and I just want to play now.”
