The event is the first of many to be held at Parkside

Fleetwood Town Football Club held the first of many grassroots seminars at the Parkside Suite earlier on in the week.

The event was put on by the Club’s coaches to share best practice with six grassroots football clubs on the Fylde Coast.

The aim of the seminars is to assist grassroots club coaches in the area, and to give them further support and encouragement.

Steve Carlin, Academy manager, said: “It was the first grassroots seminar that Fleetwood Town Football Club have run, and six local clubs were represented.

“It was an event which was very well received by the grassroots clubs and we’re hoping to see more teams come along next time.

“What we’ve outlined is that we’re prepared and ready to share best practice with all these grassroots clubs to allow coaching on the Fylde Coast to be of a higher standard.

“The coaches then outlined that they would like to see master-classes ran by ourselves, forums with best practice sessions and a forum clinic where they can ask questions in preparation for sessions.

“All in all, it was a very positive day, and the first of many seminars outlining the help and assistant that Fleetwood Town are prepared to do for the grassroots clubs on the Fylde Coast.”
