Community Trust Update
Fleetwood Town Community Trust is pleased to announce our Know Your Number Day on the 18th September. The national event is organised by the Blood Pressure Association and is designed to educate about the health complications associated with high blood pressure. Each year over 100,000 people are offered free blood pressure checks at over 1,500 "Pressure Stations" across the UK.
As part of our commitment to addressing health and wellbeing, Fleetwood Town Community Trust is partnering up with the NHS Wellbeing Centre on Dock Street to deliver the day. Nurses will be in attendance to support the event, as well as the YMCA coming to also talk about physical activity. We will also have special guest appearances from two first team players who will emphasise the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Graham Alexander said ‘‘Having regular health checks is becoming more important for people and I would urge everyone to come a long and ‘Know Your Numbers’. As a football club we fully support the day and understand the importance of staying healthy.’’
We would like to invite you for a FREE health check at Highbury Stadium on the 18th September from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. Simply turn up the Parkside Stand main entrance and the nurses will be on hand to give you a check-up.
Participants will be able to meet first team players Matty Blair and Scott Davies who will attend the event.
