The trials will be held at Blackpool 6th Form on Thursday 6th June and prospective cheerleaders should arrive at 4.30pm and expect to stay until 7pm at the latest. Previous experience is not required.
The team is aimed at students from year 10 and 11 who attend local schools on the Fylde coast.
Organiser and director of the academy Jess Lancashire said: “We are very excited to introduce a new team of enthusiastic cheerleaders who will support Fleetwood Town.”
Jess and her dance partner Grace Stanley have already visited several local schools.
“The response to the auditions so far has been fantastic and we can't wait to get practicing in preparation for the first home game performance. This is an amazing opportunity for youngsters to learn new skills and perform,” added Jess.
Matt Hilton, director of community and education at the club said: “The club are committed to increasing the match day experience of supporters whilst developing community links. This is a great way for the young dancers to maintain a good standard of health and wellbeing.”
