Memorial Stand regular Anthony Lydiate was the first member of the Cod Army to pre-order his new Puma shirt on Monday morning.

Anthony, who lives a stone’s throw from Highbury, was first in the re-stocked shop at 9am opening time to reserve the new-look home shirt. The 2013/14 Puma home and away kits are available for pre-order and collection when they go on sale on Monday 15th July.

“The shirt is absolutely brilliant and in keeping of where we are going as a club,” said Anthony.

“I’m looking forward to the new season and I’m sure we’ll hit the ground running.  There were games we should have won last season and I think we have learnt those lessons. We will hit teams were it hurts.”

The loyal supporter is again backing striker Jon Parkin this season.

“A fit big Jon will definitely show the opposition he is around. Under the right circumstances I don’t see why he shouldn’t be our leading scorer next season. I had Jon at 16/1 to be leading League 2 scorer last season!”

Injury restricted Parkin’s season to 24 games last term and but he still finished top of the Town goals table alongside Junior Brown.

Supporters are reminded Puma leisure wear is now available in the club shop.

Meanwhile, two-year Cod Army youngster Leighton Bailey was second in line with mum Jina.
