Youngsters at Shakespeare Primary School enjoyed their annual ‘Shakey’s Got Talent’ variety show this week.

Town goalkeeper Scott Davies once-again joined the judging panel with acts ranging from solo singers to a troupe performing the viral cup song. Nine-year-old Bradley Cottrill won the competition with his version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Lego’. "It feels good to be Shakey's Got Talent's winner. I was a bit nervous but it was still fun to perform in front of everybody," said Bradley. "I was surprised to hear my name read out as winner because I thought I was really nervous but in the end I won." Family Learning Mentor Clare O’Connor thanked the Fleetwood Town player: "It was absolutely amazing afternoon we've all had. There were some very talented children - some made us cry and some made us laugh, it was a stunning afternoon with a lot of talent." "The Gangnam Style right at the end was a good one to finish on - the whole school was up dancing. "Scott Davies has been with us again this year - this is the fourth year he’s judged Shakey's Got Talent. We’d like to thank Scott very much as well as our other VIP judges, Mrs Margaret Lund and Mrs Cristine Wriley." Scott, ever-present for Town this season, said he enjoys visiting the Fleetwood school. “Going back each year is marvellous. The acts were well rehearsed and the youngsters are very brave performing in front of everyone – I couldn’t do it.  It’s always a pleasure coming back and being a friend of the school.”
