Striker David Ball played 78 minutes at Dagenham & Redbridge last Saturday and felt his side should have walked away with at least a point.

"We've gone to Dagenham and I think we played well in periods. It was cruel to us in the end when they were awarded the late penalty. I think we deserved to win that game but we have a strong enough group to bounce back straight away from that disappointment. "I think I've been coming up with some good performances individually but it doesn't matter as I'm more bothered about the overall team showing". The former Peterborough striker has scored 4 goals so far this season in all competitions and is looking to increase that tally. "By my own standards and how I feel about myself, I should have had around 10 goals by now - I’ve just not taken some of the best chances given to me. Obviously I've been a bit disappointed about that. "I've set up quite a few goals as well but overall I'm just happy to in the team and playing regularly. I want to get my match sharpness up so I can play to my best ability". Ball feels goals will start coming and is looking forward to the dividends of a hard week in training when Aldershot travel to Highbury in the FA Cup. "I've being playing well individually and if I keep my performances up, goals will ultimately come along. "I've been getting into good positions and it's not like I've not been getting chances. I know I'll start hitting the back of the net on a regular basis and hopefully the team performances will grow from there". Tickets are available until Saturday's kick-off at 3pm. The ticket office is open Thursday until 5pm, Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday from 9am until kick-off. Tickets are also available by telephoning 01253 775080 or visiting the club website.
