Young midfielder Lewis Warrington joined the Fleetwood Town ranks in the summer of 2022 on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Everton.
Warrington made his first-team debut for the Toffees at Highbury Stadium in the same season before signing on for the Cods, when Frank Lampard’s side faced off against Town in the Carabao Cup, after spending 15 years progressing through the ranks at the club.
The Birkenhead-born midfielder – who earned a new contract at Everton at the start of the 2022/23 season – spent time on loan last season at League Two side Tranmere Rovers, where he impressed in his 17 appearances, netting once in that time.
