Experienced midfielder Josh Vela was Fleetwood Town’s second signing of the summer in 2022 after reaching an agreement to sign upon the end of his contract with Shrewsbury Town, on a three-year deal.
Vela arrived boasting plenty of Sky Bet League One experience from his time at Bolton Wanderers, where he featured in 160 games, and his latest club in Shrewsbury Town, where he added another 84 appearances to his tally.
During his time at the Shrews, he won multiple personal awards as he was named both the Fans’ Player of the Year as well as the Player’s Player of the Year for his contributions during the 2020/21 season.
