Josh Morris re-joined the Cod Army in the summer of 2019, after spending time on loan at the club in the 2013/14 Sky Bet League Two play-off promotion season.
Morris began his career in the Blackburn Rovers Youth Academy and went on to make 20 appearances for his boyhood club, making his first league appearance against Manchester United in November 2010.
Whilst at Blackburn, he went on various loan spells to Yeovil, Rotherham and Carlisle before joining Fleetwood in 2014, initially on a one-month loan. After playing seven games it was announced that Morris would stay with the Cod Army until the end of the 2013/14 season.
His performances saw him win League Two player of the month for April as well as feature in the play-off final in which Fleetwood won promotion to League One with a 1-0 win over Burton Albion.
Morris spent the whole of the 2014/15 season on loan at Fleetwood scoring his first goal of the season in a 3-3 draw with Bristol City. Morris scored eight times that season in 45 appearances before signing for Bradford City on a free transfer.
The following year, Preston-born Morris then moved to Scunthorpe where he made over 100 appearances and scored 35 goals. Morris was a loyal servant to The Iron but left the club at the end of the 2018/19 season and re-joined Fleetwood on a two-year deal.
In his first year back at the club, Morris was part of the side that challenged for promotion via the playoffs in 2019/20.
