Central midfielder George Glendon signed on a permanent deal with Fleetwood Town in January 2017, after having a successful loan spell at the club from Premier League side Manchester City.
The 21-year-old began his career at Manchester City, where he would become a star player and captain of the sides Elite Development Squad. Glendon moved away from Manchester in August 2016 on loan to the Cod Army.
In addition to his introduction to first team football, he managed to become of the stand out players in the middle of the park for Uwe Rosler’s side. Even though he only played nine league games for the side, the manager saw the potential in him and made the deal permanent in January 2017.
Since then, he has made 17 more league appearances but is still awaiting his first goal. Regarding his international career, Glendon made an appearance for England’s under-16 side back in 2011 before being moved up to the under-17s in the same year.
The midfielder was then selected for the Wales national side in March 2015, as he was called up to the under-21 side.
