Goalkeeper Paul Jones joined the Cod Army in August on a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old became Joey Barton’s tenth signing of the summer transfer window, after a successful trial period at the club.
Jones – who most recently has been at Norwich City – is known for his spells at Exeter City, Crawley Town and Portsmouth – where he played a combined total of over 300 games.
Standing at six foot, three inches, the Maidstone-born stopper will provide competition for Alex Cairns, with Matt Urwin going out on loan to National League North side Chorley, and Billy Crellin moving out on loan to FC United of Manchester.
