In On Loan
Leicester City

Jakub Stolarczyk

Date of birth

Young shot stopper Jakub Stolarczyk joined the Cods on loan from Premier League side Leicester City midway through August 2022 and went on to make his club debut in the Carabao Cup against Everton at Highbury.

The Polish ‘keeper has been at the Foxes since the age of 16 and has swiftly risen through the ranks at the club, featuring for the Under-18s, the Under-23s, and has been in the first team squad for Europa League games against Legia and Napoli as well as other cup fixtures.

Stolarczyk, who had his first taste of first-team football whilst on loan at Scottish Championship side Dunfermline last season, made 13 appearances for the side above the border and played alongside Town’s goalkeeping coach Owain Fôn Williams whilst there.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers had this to say on our loanee shot-stopper: "In Jakub, we have a really, really, really big talent, who I think is going to be an outstanding keeper at the very highest level, but he needs to get out on loan.

“We have lined up Fleetwood Town for his move and we are confident he will play plenty of games which will benefit everyone.”
